October was a busy month for the youth:
~ October 16th during the service, the youth
participated in recognizing the 50 year or greater members in an effort to blend the elder members with the youth of the church.
~ October 16th after service, Trick or Treat for Unicef was a great success this year with the youth collecting coins outside the sanctuary doors. The kids nearly doubled the collection amount from the prior year. Proceeds were sent to Unicef to benefit children around the world for clean water and living conditions.
~October
16th at 2:00pm kicked off the CROP Walk for Hunger in
~October 22nd was the date for our annual Youth-Sponsored all church wiener roast. About 45 members were in attendance and all had a great time playing, eating and visiting. Special thanks to Dick Brown who provided the hot dogs, Virginia Green for hosting the event, and Buddy and Lois Addis for their preparation work.
~October 30th we paraded around the church parking lot in costumes to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve and All Saint’s Day. Pictures of the great costumes are posted on the youth bulletin board by Fellowship hall. The best part was watching the kids with missing teeth bob for apples. The donuts, cookies, and cider were not bad either!
~Operation Christmas Child: The filled and wrapped boxes were delivered after church on Sunday, November 20th. Thanks to all who packed a box for a child overseas for a brighter Christmas.
~Logos youth program continues to build steam attracting new kids each week. The children are raving about how much fun they are having while learning about God and how to participate in Worship. They meet every Tuesday night at 5:30 following the Noblesville vacation calendar. See Stacy Sturgeon or Brian Burhenn for details.
Promotion Sunday for 5th grade students. Working with
Worship to coordinate this.
