The Spirit of Music & Art
"Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make music to our God…" (Psalm 147:7)
Augustine said that the person who sings "prays twice." Music through song and instrument is a very important part of the FCC worship experience.
- The Sanctuary Choir rehearses each Thursday at 7:00 p.m. and sings at the traditional service each Sunday, September through May. Seasonal Cantatas are presented at various times throughout the year.
- The Bell Choir rehearses on Thursdays at 6:15 p.m. This unique choir of bells is special due to the colorful harmony of music it brings to worship services.
- By His Grace is the "praise band" of FCC. The band plays at The Harvest service every Sunday. Currently the band includes acoustic and electric guitars, electronic drums, the violin/fiddle, electric bass, and several voices. The repertoire of By His Grace includes contemporary praise songs, traditional gospel/bluegrass, and some un-traditional music that moves the spirit.
